Katedra Świętego Zbawiciela w Brugii

The Cathedral of the Holy Savior in Bruges is an architectural gem combining Romanesque and Gothic styles, dating back to the 12th century. Initially a parish church, it gained cathedral status in the 18th century.

The interior impresses with a rich collection of Flemish art, including works by Dieric Bouts and Hugo van der Goes. Unique features include marble slabs of Evangelists, a monumental sculpture of God the Father and an 18th-century organ by Jacobus Van Eynde.

The distinctive neo-Romanesque tower is a recognizable feature of the city skyline. The floor features glass tomb niches hiding valuable artifacts.
