Description

The Celt is an authentic Irish pub with a rich history dating back to 1864. The back bar, known as 'The Shed,' was once a stable and later Ireland's first trade union hall, where Jim Larkin organized the first union strikes in 1913.

Enjoy world-class live Irish music every evening while enjoying traditional dishes such as Beef & Guinness Stew and Irish Beef Burger. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available.

The rustic interior with wooden tables and distinctive decor creates a unique atmosphere that attracts locals and tourists alike.

avatarT.L. Isaksona month agoWe came here for our last night in Dublin for dinner. Seafood sampler platter was great, especially the salmon, the crab wasn’t as impressive. Seafood chowder good but small portion, and the bangers and mash were also very good. Multiple bars and seating options were really great, and the live music was a highlight and a very fun crowd. For our two days in Dublin, we enjoyed this place the most.
avatarDimitra Efthimiou2 weeks agoThe place is literally a hidden gem in Dublin.. It covers two different rooms of what seems to be an old, traditional building. Tasty food, friendly service and two different duets playing Irish music and helping us have a good time. I really loved it. Highly recommended
avatarSimona Ilisei3 months agoThis review is a bit tricky, but I’ll try to explain myself as clearly as possible. My boyfriend and I went there for lunch because I saw it had good reviews. The place itself is very nice and typical of the area, and the service was quick. Unfortunately, I wasn’t happy with the dish I ordered, which was “Granny's bacon and cabbage, served with creamy mashed potatoes & parsley sauce” — that’s exactly how it was written on the menu. I knew what cabbage and the rest were and was fine with that, but I thought “bacon” referred to regular bacon, not Irish bacon/ham. Since I’m not from here and didn’t know the dish, I assumed it was standard bacon… I really didn’t enjoy it, and it was also tough. The rest was edible. I was very disappointed and I think they should specify “Irish bacon” on the menu or include a photo of the dish. My boyfriend, on the other hand, was very happy with his meal — he had the fish and chips, and the fish was really well done with excellent breading. So I don’t want my review to be entirely negative, as I simply picked the wrong dish, misled by the word “bacon” — that’s all.
