Description
Grotte di Castellana is a fascinating cave system in the Puglia region of Italy, stretching over 3 kilometers and reaching 122 meters below street level.
The interior impresses with spectacular stalactites, stalagmites and unique rock formations that were formed over millions of years. Especially impressive is the 'White Cave' with its alabaster formations, considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
The constant temperature of 16.5°C creates a unique microclimate, favoring rare species of bats and insects. Discovered in 1938 by Franco Anelli, the caves offer an unforgettable journey through the underground world.
