Description

Tavola dei Briganti is a fascinating historical monument located in the Majella Mountains. These limestone slabs hide unique inscriptions left by bandits and shepherds after the unification of Italy.

One of the inscriptions reads: 'Read my memories for dear readers. In 1820, Victor Emanuel, King of Italy, was born. First 60 was the kingdom of flowers, now it is the kingdom of misery.'

The easy trail leading to the site is accessible even to less experienced hikers, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the opportunity for an outdoor picnic.
