Description
The Museo del Burattino is a unique museum dedicated to the Italian tradition of puppetry, where the star attraction is the legendary Ol Giopì, a 14th-century Bergamo character with three oxen and a stick.
Over 120 hand puppets and marionettes tell the story of local craftsmanship, presenting the collections of eight families of puppeteers. Here you will discover the legacy of Benedetto Ravasio, who brought to life the character of the clever, good-natured Gioppa, and learn about the process of creating puppets - from design to painting.
