Description
Piazza degli Affari is the provocative heart of Milan's financial district, where ancient Roman ruins meet controversial contemporary art.
It is dominated by Maurizio Cattelan's 11-meter marble sculpture L.O.V.E. - a giant middle finger pointing towards the Stock Exchange, symbolizing a protest against the world of finance after the 2008 crisis.
The square is surrounded by the monumental Art Deco Palazzo Mezzanotte from 1932, under whose glass floors you will discover the remains of a 2nd-century Roman theater.
