Description
The Boboli Garden is a masterpiece of Renaissance landscape architecture, commissioned by the Medici family in the 16th century. This sprawling 11-acre site is a true paradise for art and history lovers.
The garden impresses with its rich collection of sculptures from ancient Rome to the 17th century, by artists such as Giambologna and Bernardo Buontalenti. Walking along the avenues, one can admire the impressive fountains, including the Fountain of Neptune and the Fountain of the Ocean.
A unique feature is the Grotta Grande, a breathtaking grotto designed by Buontalenti, and the Viottolone, a monumental avenue planted with cypresses and sculptures.
