Description

Palazzo Madama is a remarkable palace in the heart of Turin, spanning 2,000 years of history—from a Roman gate to a medieval castle to a Baroque masterpiece by Filippo Juvarra.

Inside is the Museo Civico d'Arte Antica, housing 75,000 works of art. Four floors take visitors through the ages: from medieval sculptures in the moat, through Renaissance masterpieces by Antonello da Messina, to the Baroque apartments of the Savoy regents, adorned with frescoes and stucco work.

The unique façade, featuring the largest Baroque windows in Piedmont, contrasts with the medieval towers at the rear.
