Castello di Desenzano del Garda is a medieval fortification towering over the largest town on Lake Garda, built before the year 1000 on the foundations of a Roman fort.

The observation tower offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding area - one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the region. The preserved defensive walls with battlements, four towers, and the remains of a drawbridge create an authentic medieval atmosphere, and the former officers' barracks now host exhibitions and summer concerts in an intimate arena.
