Description

Huguang Assembly Hall is the largest surviving Chinese guild complex from the Qing dynasty, built between 1759 and 1806 on the Yangtze River.

This architectural gem combines southern Chinese styles with over 500 wood carvings depicting myths and opera scenes. The complex includes halls with a 12-meter-high gilded statue of Guanyin, a migration museum, and an authentic 18th-century opera stage.

Here, you can travel back in time as you admire the yellow walls, black roof tiles, and carved beams, and relax in a traditional tea house.
