Description
Hugh Lane Gallery is a unique contemporary art museum in Dublin's historic Charlemont House building. The gallery is famous for its impressive collection of works, including the entire studio of Francis Bacon, which was moved from London to Dublin in 1998.
It's a real treat for art lovers - here you can admire works by Impressionists such as Monet and Renoir, as well as contemporary Irish art. Particularly noteworthy are the Sean Scully Room and Harry Clarke's stained glass windows, including the masterpiece 'The Eve of St. Agnes'.
Admission is free, and the gallery also offers a café and bookstore with art souvenirs.
