Description
The G.K. Chesterton House is a unique historical landmark in Beaconsfield, known as 'Overroads'. It was here that the famous Catholic writer and philosopher lived from 1909 to 1922, creating his most important works, including 'The Ballad of the White Horse' and 'Manalive'.
The property, designed in the Arts and Crafts style, is stunning in its architecture and history. Although the house is not open to the public, you can admire its exterior facade and discover traces of Chesterton's presence in the area, including his second Top Meadow home with a commemorative plaque.
For lovers of literature and history, this is a real treat!
