The Guernica Peace Museum is a unique museum dedicated to the culture of peace and reconciliation, established in memory of the tragic bombing of the city in 1937.
Spanning two floors, you’ll discover moving exhibitions featuring accounts from survivors and an interactive “deconstruction” of Picasso’s famous painting “Guernica”—a suspended installation that reveals fragments of the work from various perspectives. Video presentations featuring Nobel Peace Prize laureates connect the local tragedy with global themes of conflict and reconciliation.
