Description
Drachenburg Castle is one of the most important late 19th century castle buildings in Germany. Built between 1882 and 1884, it combines elements of a villa and a palace in a unique neo-Gothic style.
The spacious landscaped park surrounding the castle is resplendent with centuries-old trees and majestic rhododendrons, offering breathtaking views of the Rhine and the Siebengebirge region.
The castle's interiors, including the living and reception rooms, reflect the life and times of the late 19th century. Despite extensive damage during World War II, the castle has been painstakingly restored and today provides a fascinating journey back in time.
