Wildlife Disaster Memorial

Wildlife Disaster Memorial is a moving memorial to the tragic September 11, 1984 fire that destroyed 900 hectares of forest and claimed 20 lives in Garajonay National Park on La Gomera.

The steel structure with a plaque bearing the names of the victims is an important landmark for those interested in the island's history and cultural heritage.

The memorial is located at the Mirador los Roques lookout point, offering breathtaking views of the unique rock formations created by volcanic activity, including the famous Roque de Agando.
