Water Palace

The Water Palace is a unique historical monument in Timișoara, built in 1901 in the Art Nouveau style.

The building impresses with its rich ornaments with neo-Baroque elements and eclectic decorations. The central part is decorated with a dome, and the eastern facade with double Ionic columns.

The palace was originally built for the company managing the Bega Canal, as reflected in the numerous water-themed decorations - fish, seahorses, shells and anthropomorphic female figures.

It is a true architectural gem that serves as a gateway to the Iosefin district and is a testament to the city's rich history.
