Description
The Viking Fortress Trelleborg is one of the best-preserved Viking ring fortresses in Denmark, built around 980 by King Harald Bluetooth.
This unique building of perfectly circular shape with crisscrossing roads and four gates allows you to travel back in time to the Viking Age.
On site you can see a full-scale reconstruction of a Viking longhouse, take part in workshops on bread baking, archery or rune carving. The only surviving Viking shield in Denmark was discovered here, and the entire complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2023.
