Description
Ruhmeshalle is an impressive historical monument in Munich, designed by Leo von Klenze for King Ludwig I of Bavaria.
This Dorian colonnade built of Kelheim limestone houses busts of 74 prominent Bavarian figures, commemorating distinguished citizens of the region.
In front of the Ruhmeshalle stands the colossal statue of Bavaria, an 18.5-meter bronze statue symbolizing the Bavarian state, which offers a panoramic view of Theresienwiese. This is a great place for lovers of Bavarian history, architecture and culture.
