Pomnik Tarasa Szewczenki

The Taras Shevchenko Memorial is an impressive monument dedicated to one of Ukraine's most important poets and painters, located on Svobody Avenue in Lviv.

Erected in 1992, it consists of a 4.45-meter statue and a 12-meter stele decorated with bas-reliefs symbolizing the 'Wave of National Revival'.

This unique monument is not only a tribute to an outstanding artist, but also a symbol of the struggle and suffering of the Ukrainian people. The surrounding area of the monument, paved with granite slabs, creates a perfect space for contemplation and photography.
