Description

Pillnitz Castle is a restored Baroque castle that was the summer residence of the Electors and Kings of Saxony. It impresses with its unique architecture combining Baroque style with Chinese elements.

The park surrounding the castle combines formal Baroque gardens with an English landscape, offering walks among exotic trees, including a 230-year-old Japanese camellia blooming with thousands of crimson flowers.

The complex houses the Museum of Decorative Arts showcasing a collection of arts and crafts from the Dresden State Art Collections. It is an ideal place for lovers of history, nature and culture.
