Description
Our Lady's Well is a unique historical monument dating back to the 14th century, built of limestone blocks and topped with a limestone slab roof. The well is surrounded by legends - one of which claims that Mary discovered the spring on her way to Joseph of Arimathea in Glastonbury.
On the eastern wall is a sculpture depicting three figures: St. Anne standing between her daughter, Mary, and the angel or her husband Joachim.
Historically, the water from the well was famous for its healing properties, attracting pilgrims seeking relief from illness. The picturesque location overlooking the Severn Valley adds to the site's unique charm.
