Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration

Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration is an impressive 70-meter-tall, partially marble-clad monument that commemorates the Dominican Republic's Restoration War.

Originally built as 'Monumento a la Paz de Trujillo,' it was renamed after the assassination of dictator Trujillo. Today you can enjoy life-size displays of Dominican history and bronze statues of famous generals and baseball players.
