Market Square

Market Square is the heart of medieval Bruges, where history comes alive at every turn. Surrounded by the colorful townhouses of former merchants' guilds, it impresses with its unique atmosphere and UNESCO-listed architecture.

It is dominated by the 83-meter Belfort Tower from the 13th century, which offers panoramic views of the city. Also worth noting is the neo-Gothic Provincial Court building.

The car-free zone is conducive to strolling and enjoying the local atmosphere. A traditional market is held here on Wednesdays, adding an authentic local touch to the square.
