Dresden Castle

The Dresden Castle is one of the city's oldest and most emblematic buildings, with a history dating back more than 800 years.

Inside is the famous Green Treasury (Grünes Gewölbe) with its impressive collection of treasures of Augustus the Strong and the monumental Orchestral of Princes, a 102-meter-long mural made of 24,000 Meissen porcelain tiles.

The castle also offers access to the Coin Cabinet with more than 300,000 exhibits and the Armory with a fascinating collection of weapons and armor. After war damage, the building underwent careful restoration, which continues today.
