Description
Devil's Jumps is a fascinating set of Bronze Age barrows, 3,000-4,000 years old. The five main mounds form a line perfectly aligned with the sunset on the day of the summer solstice, a testament to the astronomical knowledge of our ancestors.
The site is shrouded in interesting legends - according to one, the god Thor threw a stone at the Devil, who jumped from one barrow to another, forcing him to flee.
This is an excellent destination for history and nature lovers. The surrounding area is home to rare species of plants and insects, including small mining bees, which can be observed in summer.
