Description
Campanile del Duomo is a majestic bell tower in the heart of Lecce, being the highest in the Salento region (72 meters).
Built between 1661 and 1682 by Giuseppe Zimbalo, it impresses with five stories made of distinctive Lecce stone. It is crowned with an octagonal majolica dome and an iron statue of Sant'Oronzo.
The observation deck offers a breathtaking view of the city and the Adriatic Sea. It is a true gem of Lecce Baroque, whose richly decorated balustrades and ornaments tell the story of this unique place.
