Description
Burg Castle is the largest reconstructed castle complex in North Rhine-Westphalia. Originally built in 1130 by Count Adolf II, it was the ancestral seat of the Counts of Berg for several centuries.
The castle offers a unique medieval atmosphere with its impressive fortified walls, Knights' Hall and armory. An additional attraction is the cable car that provides panoramic views of the Bergisches Land region and the Wupper River.
The castle grounds feature stores selling local handicrafts and a playground styled after a medieval castle, making it ideal for families with children.
