Bunratty Castle & Folk Park

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is a fascinating combination of a 15th century medieval fortress and an open-air museum recreating a 19th century Irish village.

The castle, built around 1425 by the MacNamara family, impresses with authentic period furniture, artwork and tapestries. More than 30 buildings, including country cottages, stores and the Bunratty House mansion, can be admired in the Folk Park.

Children will love the Fairy Trail, Viking-style playground and mini farm with animals, while adults will appreciate the medieval feasts held in the castle's great hall.
