Description
The Golden Tower (Torre del Oro) is a fascinating monument from the 13th century that was part of Seville's defense system. It got its name from the golden sheen given to it by a special mixture of lime and straw that reflected the sun's rays.
Today it houses the Maritime Museum with exhibits related to geographical discoveries - ship models and navigational equipment. The rooftop terrace offers a beautiful panorama of the city, the Guadalquivir River and the Arenal and Triana neighborhoods.
It is the perfect place for lovers of history, architecture and maritime stories.
