Description
Bran Castle is a medieval fortress known as the legendary home of Count Dracula. This 14th century Gothic gem hides 57 chambers and the mysterious Tunnel of Time, originally a well dating back to 1377, later converted into an elevator by Queen Mary.
Visitors can discover hidden rooms and secrets of the castle, which served as a defensive fortress and customs post of Transylvania. Although there is no evidence that Vlad the Impaler ever lived here, the castle's atmosphere fits perfectly with the vampiric legend.
