Broclaw's Market Square is one of the largest and oldest market squares in Europe, dating back to the 13th century. Surrounded by 60 historic townhouses, it impresses with its wealth of architectural details and colors.
The heart of the square is the Gothic Town Hall with its 66-meter tower, whose basement houses the Świdnica Cellar - one of the oldest restaurants in Europe. The square also features landmarks: the monument to Alexander Fredro, the pillory and the modern Zdrój fountain.
