Strasbourg Covered Bridges

Strasbourg Covered Bridges is a unique complex of three bridges and four defensive towers dating back to the 13th century. Although the wooden canopies disappeared in 1784, the name 'Covered Bridges' survives to this day.

These historic structures were a key part of the city's medieval fortifications, protecting the western access to Strasbourg. Picturesquely situated on the Ill River, they create an enchanting landscape, especially beautiful in the morning and afternoon light.
