Sjeverna gradska vrata

Sjeverna gradska vrata is the impressive northern city gate in Trogir, dating back to the 15th century. It is one of the most important monuments of this Croatian city.

Built in the Renaissance style, it impresses with its round arches and columns. Of particular interest is the Gothic statue of St. Ivan Ursin that adorns the gate.

It is worth climbing the stairs to the defensive walls, from where there is a beautiful panorama of the area. The gate is a symbolic entrance to the old town and is a testimony to the rich history of Trogir.
