Pitstone Windmill

Pitstone Windmill is one of the oldest surviving windmills in Britain, dating back to the 17th century. This unique technical monument is an excellent example of a historic post mill, where the entire structure rotates on a central pole.

After severe damage in 1902, the windmill was restored in the 1960s by a group of enthusiasts. Today it is a fascinating attraction for history and architecture enthusiasts.
