Description
Schönbrunn Palace is one of the most beautiful Baroque complexes in Europe with a history of over 300 years.
It was originally a hunting lodge of the Habsburg dynasty, which was later transformed into an impressive residence under Empress Maria Theresa.
The palace impresses with 1,441 rooms, 45 of which are open to the public, showing the splendor of the imperial lifestyle.
The surrounding park offers numerous attractions: fountains, statues, the Glorietta, the Imperial Carriage Museum, a maze, a zoo and the Orangery. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
