Description
The Holy Trinity Mounds is a unique bastion fortress built in 1692 by Hetman Stanislav Jan Yablonovsky. Located on a natural hill between the Zbrucz and Dniester rivers, it was an important defensive point against Turkish and Tatar invasions.
This historic fortification, designed by Tielman van Gameren, impresses with a defense system consisting of two half-bastions and a ravelin. The site is also associated with the Bar Confederation, when Casimir Pulaski defended the fortress against Russian attacks.
For lovers of military history and defensive architecture, this is a real treat, allowing you to travel back in time to the 17th century military strategies.
