Klostertreppe

Clostertreppe is a picturesque monastery staircase leading to the Baroque Carmelite Church of St. Joseph in Beilstein.

This unique historical monument impresses with its medieval architecture and is a popular spot for souvenir photos. The staircase is part of the old town's charm and has been immortalized in films many times.

The church they lead to is a place of pilgrimage due to the presence of the 'Black Madonna of Beilstein,' a Spanish statue from the 12th or 13th century. Nearby are the ruins of Metternich Castle and a picturesque marketplace dating back to 1322.
