Description
The Leib Osnos Tenement House is a fascinating historical monument in the heart of Warsaw. Built around 1911, it survived the German occupation and was part of the Warsaw Ghetto from 1940-1942.
This modernist, four-story building is one of the few buildings that survived the war intact. Although many architectural details were removed from the facade in the 1960s, the interior retains the original stoves, wooden doors and decorative balustrades.
In 2019, the tenement was added to the register of historical monuments, highlighting its importance as a witness to Warsaw's history and survival.
