Description
The Ghent City Hall is a fascinating monument combining Gothic and Renaissance styles. This architectural gem consists of two wings: the Gothic jury house De Keure (1519-1539) and the Renaissance jury house Gedele (1595-1618).
The interior impresses with 51 richly decorated rooms, including the Hall of Pacification, the Wedding Chapel and the Labyrinth. Each room tells a piece of the city's history, including the famous Ghent Pacification of 1576.
It's the perfect place for history and architecture lovers to admire the craftsmanship of medieval and Renaissance masters in one place.
