Description

Elisenbrunnen is a historic monument in Aachen, built between 1822 and 1827 to a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

This neoclassical building with its distinctive rotunda and Corinthian columns is a symbol of the city's rich spa culture. The fountain delivers hot (74°C) sulfuric water from one of the hottest thermal springs in Europe, which has been attributed with healing properties.

Surrounded by a beautiful garden, the Elisengarten provides an excellent place to rest while visiting other Aachen attractions. One of the two halls regularly hosts concerts and exhibitions, adding a contemporary touch to this historic site.
