Dvor Veliki Tabor

Dvor Veliki Tabor is one of the most important monuments of secular architecture in mainland Croatia. This pentagonal castle from the 15th century combines elements of late Gothic and Renaissance, impressing with its distinctive semicircular defensive towers.

Located 333 meters above sea level, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Hrvatsko Zagorje region and parts of Slovenia.

The castle features fascinating exhibitions showcasing archaeological findings, furnished chambers and even ancient instruments of torture. The site has also hosted an international short film festival since 2002.
