Description

Dunluce Castle is the picturesque ruins of a medieval fortress, dramatically suspended on a cliff above the Irish Sea.

It's a place full of fascinating stories and legends, including the tale of Maeve Roe, a banshee who lived here and tried to escape with her beloved, but drowned in the stormy sea.

The castle is also famous for the fact that part of the kitchen sank into the sea during a storm in 1639. Fans of 'Game of Thrones' will recognize it as the seat of the Greyjoy family, which adds to the historic site's modern charm.
