Drizzlecombe

Drizzlecombe is a fascinating complex of prehistoric monuments located on the western slopes of Dartmoor. This unique site is famous for its impressive collection of Bronze Age artifacts, including three major stone rows ending in menhirs.

The tallest menhir, measuring 4.3 meters, is the largest on all of Dartmoor. During the winter solstice, the shadows of the menhirs line up along the stone rows, creating a mystical phenomenon.

In addition to the megaliths, the area contains more than 20 burial mounds and the remains of prehistoric settlements, offering a fascinating journey through time.
