De Burg is one of the oldest and most historic squares in Bruges, dating back to the 9th century.
This medieval square is surrounded by stunning Gothic architecture, including the 14th-century City Hall - one of the oldest in Belgium. Also adorning the square is the Basilica of the Holy Blood, holding a precious relic, which attracts pilgrims from all over the world.
