Description

Castle De Haar is the largest and most luxurious castle in the Netherlands, dating back to 1391. This architectural marvel combines Gothic and Renaissance styles, impressing with its majestic towers and drawbridge.

The interiors hide 200 rooms and 30 bathrooms, richly decorated with artwork from the Rothschild collection, porcelain from Japan and China, and Flemish tapestries.

Surrounding the castle is a park with 7,000 trees, designed by Hendrik Copijn, with a stunning water system and formal gardens modeled after Versailles. There is also a rose garden commemorating the life of Hélin, the eldest son of the Van Zuylen family.
