Description
Ales stenar is a fascinating boat-shaped megalithic monument located on a hill overlooking the Baltic Sea.
It consists of 59 massive boulders, each weighing about 5 tons, creating an impressive 67-meter-long structure.
Dating back to the Late Iron Age (about 1200-1500 years ago), this mysterious monument likely served as a burial site or solar calendar. Archaeological findings suggest that the area was inhabited as early as 5500 years ago.
An ideal place for lovers of history, astronomy and unusual landscapes!
