Description
The Archaeological Park of the Côa Valley is a unique place in northern Portugal where you can admire one of the most important collections of Paleolithic rock art in the world.
Covering an area of about 200 square kilometers, there are more than 80 sites with cave engravings and about 1,200 rocks covered with rhytes, dating back thousands of years.
The park offers fascinating guided tours, the opportunity to explore archaeological sites by electric boat or kayak, and a unique night tour of the Penascosa site. For lovers of history, archaeology and beautiful landscapes, this is an absolute must-see on the map of Portugal.
