Description
Hammeren Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located on the highest elevation of the northern tip of Bornholm Island. Built in 1872 from granite blocks, it rises 82 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views of northern Bornholm and the southeastern coast of Sweden.
Although the lighthouse was withdrawn from regular service in 1990, it has been emitting unofficial light again since 2011. The surrounding area is stunning with a unique landscape shaped by glaciers, with heathlands and low trees.
It is a great place for nature, history and outdoor enthusiasts.
