Guangzhou Shamian Archit. Buildings is a unique enclave of colonial architecture in the heart of Guangzhou. This picturesque island offers a fascinating blend of European styles - Neo-Baroque, Gothic and Neo-Classical - harmoniously adapted to the subtropical climate and local culture of Lingnan.

As you stroll through the tree-lined streets, you'll discover former consulates, churches, commercial buildings and residences that form a kind of 'open-air museum'. Following a renovation in 2010, many of the buildings have regained their original appearance, preserving the historical integrity of this magical place.
