Description
Guangzhou Forest of Stone Tablets is a historical treasure trove of more than 3,000 stone tablets that bear witness to China's rich culture. The site was established in 1087 to store precious stone classics from the Tang Dynasty, including the 'Classic on Sonship Devotion' written by Emperor Xuan Zong in 745.
The tablets are displayed in seven exhibition halls, six epitaph corridors and one pavilion. Each is not only a historical artifact, but also an architectural gem with vivid carvings of plants, lions and mythical creatures.
This is the perfect place for lovers of history, calligraphy and art.
